Jay tells us about himself with a simple Q&A

Q1. Who is Jay?

I have no idea, when you know let me know .

What i can say is im 37 years old, born and live in Kent, I have only just started
painting this past year and half and try to fit it around my 9-5 job, with the hope
of becoming a full time Artist in the near future.


Q2. Where do you get your inspiration?

I get my inspiration from my partner Anna who is my rock, and my close friends & family who support and encourage me in everything i do.


Q3. Did you have any formal training?

I done A Levels in Art after i finished school, but at 19 i got a full-time job and didn't pick up and paint brush again until i was 35.


Q4. How would you describe your art?

I am a mixed media Artist, i just paint from the heart and from things that move or inspire me, it can be from life events, wildlife & nature or it can be fictional characters from a movie or Celebrity.


Q5l What artists inspire you?

I have too many to mention, but all Artists inspire me one way or another, it takes courage to put yourself out there.


Q6. What does Sentiment mean to you?

It means so much, i love the idea of sharing a piece of my Art that means a lot to me with 1000 others, what a great way to connect with people through Art.

Jay's Sentiment

'NHS'

Jay has absolutely captured the essence of the day with this powerful painting, acrylic on canvas.

This artwork is now part of the Sentiment collection and has been divided up into 1000 pieces allowing friends, family and fellow art lovers to connect to his story.

Each piece is mounted on a 24-carat gold leaf base with a thread of gold running through each piece. This connects all the pieces together and to the artist and in turn all the artists in the Sentiment collection.
