Rain tells us about herself with a simple Q&A
Q1. Who is Rain?
I am a mixed media artist and designer who loves to bring ideas to life.
Q2. Where do you get your inspiration?
I love multi-faceted concepts, as life is never just one dimensional, and there is always
a hidden quality that shines through when you look for it. I also love and am inspired
by the worlds we make for the future, and past, of humanity. Large or small, natural or
artificial, built up or torn down, there are so many ways to express ourselves. Imagination
is a wonderful thing, and I love working with others to build unique experiences and bonds.
Q3. Did you have any training?
I was trained early in set design and prop making before going into a digital art course at collage that I did not complete due to health reasons. I then went into the medical field for several years before coming back to the art world. I then split my time working as a rehabilitation massage therapist, and working in the film industry, in either the art department doing props and sets, or the Wardrobe department. I am just beginning to take all my experience and embracing my skills to create my own art once more.
Q4. How would you describe your art?
Varied. I can go from making a line of themed custom clothes, then turn around and do a sculpture, then do some illuminated lettering, then maybe theme out a vehicle, paint a mural, build a display piece, do some needle work, and then experiment with a new medium, cause why not.
Q5. What artists inspire you?
All of them! I have yet to meet a creative person that I have not learned something from or been inspired by in some way.
Q6. What does Sentiment mean to you?
Sentiment for me has been about new beginnings, new friends, new connections, and new opportunities created despite the isolation and trauma brought about by the pandemic.

Signed, numbered and framed in a simple black shadow box frame 12cmsq. A copy of the whole image is printed and inserted into the back of the frame with details of this artist.
