K tells us about herself with a simple Q&A
Q1 Who is K?
K is a paradox. An anonymous outpouring of their soul. Unfiltered authenticity through the medium of art.
Q2 Where do you get your inspiration?
If one is open to it, inspiration can be found anywhere. A conversation with a friend, a swan spreading its wings, or a look from a stranger.
Q3 Did you have any training?
I studied fine arts in university where I graduated in 2005/6.
Q4 How would you describe your art?
My art is my own interpretation of cubism depicting unadulterated emotion and desire. Indistinguishable fragments coming together to move your eye and compose a legible final expressive image.
Q5 What artists inspire you?
There are so many great artists that have lived or are living. Each one inspiring in their own right. There have been a few that have influenced me. Cezanne was a fundamental contributor to my art as he was for Picasso. A few other artists that stand out to me are Kupka, Kandinsky, Braque, and Dali.
Q6 What does Sentiment mean to you?
Sentiment is the delicate lens through which thoughts and emotions are transformed into art. I am my emotions, desires, and notions. My art is me, my contradictions, and my essence. It is the physical manifestation of me.
This stunning painting is oil on canvas.
